It is a special attraction for me to capture my environment in a certain way in my guitars.\nAn important position in this respect takes the option to decorate the guitars with inlays. Since I have been living on the Rhine for a few years now, it was obvious to me to use\nthe shells I find in the river bed for the majority of my inlays. I call them the\n\"Rheinmuschel\" - I don't know if it's really called that, but I think that it fits quite well. With the use of the shells I can capture a piece of this beautiful and mighty river in my guitars.\nIt's a very sublime feeling. I find that as a craftsman and creator, you also have a\ndifferent connection to the material if you collect it yourself and prepare it elaborately in order to finally process it to the finished product. I constantly keep my eyes open for other\ninteresting materials in my environment. Maybe one or the other material out there will end up\nas an inlay in the fretboard of one of my guitars. <\/p>\n

By the way: Sometimes small personal mementos from customers can be processed as inlays. For\nexample, one of my customers has inherited an old signet ring made of real gold which now adorns\nthe fretboard of his guitar. I am open to ideas, feel free to contact me.<\/p>\n\t\t\n
